School Library Media Vision:

The vision of the Tarpon Springs Middle School (TSMS) Media Center is to empower students to become curious, passionate, and respectful learners. Through exploration, critical evaluation, meaningful connection, and creative expression, the Media Center aims to equip students with the essential skills needed for success in middle school, high school, college, and beyond.

Media Center Mission:

The mission of the Tarpon Springs Middle School (TSMS) Media Center is to support each student in reaching their full academic potential by cultivating a 21st-century learning environment. This includes fostering a lifelong love of reading, promoting independent thinking, and encouraging the ethical and effective use of information technologies to prepare students for success in a rapidly evolving digital world.

Circulation Policy:

Each student may check out TWO (2) items at a time.

Parents may check out FIVE (5) items at a time.

Library materials are checked out to parents and students for one month and may be renewed once, if necessary. All materials checked out of the Media Center are the responsibility of the patron. Lost or damaged materials must be paid for in full before additional materials may be borrowed. A book is considered lost only if it is overdue for a period of 90 days. Refunds will be given if a lost book is found and returned to the Media Center in good condition.

All library materials must be returned to the Media Center at the end of every school year, before summer reading materials can be checked out.
